A Little About Corey
Biography
Corey Gerrard is a freelance Musical Director, pianist, orchestrator and music educator with extensive experience across theatre, concerts and live performance. He is currently the Musical Director for the Voices of Valjean UK Tour, featuring West End star John Owen-Jones, and also works as a Musical Director for Concerts by Candlelight, leading performances in cathedrals and theatres across the UK.
His professional credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Buxton Opera House, performing with Collabro, conducting children's choirs alongside The Opera Boys and G4, and working as Deputy Keyboard Player on the Sister Act UK & Ireland Tour. Corey also writes orchestrations, choir arrangements and professional click tracks for theatre companies, concert productions and choirs throughout the UK.
Before becoming a full-time freelance musician, Corey worked as a secondary school Music Teacher and Music Lead. As Assistant Musical Director of Happy Voices, he is passionate about helping members build confidence, develop their musicianship and enjoy making music together.
